Body Sculpting — Fat Reduction and Beyond

Body Sculpting — Fat Reduction and Beyond

Like scores of others, a few problem areas and concerns stand between you and the body of your dreams. Today’s technologies are more than up to the task and can reduce fat, tighten skin, and generally contour your body to help you achieve your body-shape goals.

At Associates in Obstetrics & Gynecology, our team understands that a woman’s wellness stems from great health, as well as feeling good in her skin. When it comes to the latter, we offer innovative body-sculpting technologies that reduce fat, tighten skin, and smooth out problem areas.

Here’s a look at why these procedures are so popular — there were more than 720,000 in 2019 (pre-COVID) — and how they work.

Spot reduction made possible

One of the biggest frustrations when it comes to body shape are stubborn pockets of fat that no amount of targeted exercise or dieting seems to touch. The fact is, when you lose weight through diet and exercise, your body is in charge of where it sheds the fat, and it’s often not where you’d like. In other words, spot reduction is a near-impossible goal. Until now.

If you want to tackle key areas of stubborn fat, such as in your abdomen, buttocks, thighs, and even under your chin, we can help with our noninvasive SculpSure® system. Using laser energy, we heat up the fat cells in your target areas, destroying up to 24% of the cells.

SculpSure treatments are less than half an hour, and there’s no downtime afterward.

Smart fat removal

Another great way to target stubborn fat is with our SmartLipo® technology, which relies on laser lipolysis. Making only small incisions, we insert a small tube that contains a laser fiber to deliver thermal energy into your fat cells. This energy essentially liquifies the fat cells, making it much easier for us to remove them through gentle suction.

At the same time as the laser energy disrupts fat cells, it also causes the surrounding tissue to coagulate, which tightens the tissues.

Tightening things up

Another technology that we’re pleased to include in our body-contouring line-up is BodyTite®. With this minimally invasive system, we insert a wand beneath the surface of your skin that corresponds to a device that travels along the surface. We then deliver directional radiofrequency energy that travels between the two pieces to contract your skin, your subdermal connective tissue, and your adipose tissue (fat).

This three-dimensional contraction and coagulation can tighten even the most problematic areas, giving you the contour you want.

As you can see, there are many ways we can sculpt the body of your dreams. To figure out which body-sculpting approach is right for your goals, please contact our office in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to schedule a consultation.
